Hoby is a directory of hobby classes. You can read all of it without an account, and we have deliberately built it so there is very little about you to collect.

What we store

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. It sets its own cookies and Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. If you block analytics — with a browser setting or an extension — the site works exactly the same; nothing on Hoby is gated behind it.

What we never do

We don't sell or rent data, we don't run advertising networks, and we don't build profiles of readers. Providers who claim a listing can see how many people clicked through to them — a count, never who those people were.

Content about businesses

Listings describe businesses, not individuals. Ratings and photos come from Google Places and are shown with attribution and a link to the source. If you own a business and want something corrected or removed, get in touch and we'll deal with it.

Your data

Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, and we will — contact us. In practice, unless you have sent us a message, the answer is that we hold nothing.

Hoby is a small independent project, not a company with a legal department. This page describes what the site actually does, in plain language.
