Hoby lists hobby classes, clubs and workshops so you can find somewhere to start. Using the site means you accept what follows.

We try hard to be right, and we will still be wrong

Every price and schedule is read off the provider's own website and re-checked monthly, with the date shown on the page. Businesses change their prices, move, and close between our checks. Confirm the details with the provider before you book or pay. We can't be responsible for a class that turned out to cost more, run at a different time, or no longer exist.

We're not a party to your booking

Links go directly to the provider. You book with them, pay them, and any refund, cancellation, injury or dispute is between you and them. Hoby takes no commission and is not an agent for any business listed.

Listings aren't endorsements — and aren't for sale

Businesses appear because we researched them, not because they paid. Nobody can buy a listing, a ranking or a “Hoby Pick”. Equally, appearing here isn't a recommendation that a particular class is right, safe or good value for you.

Content and ownership

Our research, writing, and the way this site is put together belong to Hoby. Business names, logos and photographs belong to their owners; Google Places imagery and ratings are shown with attribution under Google's terms. Quote us with a link — but please don't scrape the site or republish the data wholesale.

Corrections and removal

If you run a business listed here and something is wrong, tell us and we'll verify it against your site and fix it. If you'd rather not be listed at all, ask and we'll remove you.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows; the date at the top says when they last changed. Hoby operates from British Columbia, Canada.

Written to be read, not to be impenetrable. Hoby is a small independent project — if something here matters to you and isn't clear, ask us.
