Story Studio Writing Society is a registered charity focused primarily on youth writing programs and literacy education for marginalized/lower-income youth. Limited adult offerings.

For adult writing instruction in Victoria: UVic Continuing Studies offers Creative Writing courses (Creative Writing: The Writer's Craft, Writer's Bootcamp, Write Now! A Creative Writing Survey). Camosun College offers Creative Writing Certificate and Continuing Education creative writing courses. Both institutions have established writing programs taught by published authors.

Story Studio partners with Greater Victoria Public Library (GVPL), Royal BC Museum, and Victoria Art Gallery for community programming. Received B.C. 2020 COFLA (Council of the Federation Literacy Award) for innovative leadership in literacy.
